Branch Clothing Rack Tutorial
Running out space to hang your lovely clothes? Or just want a beautiful space to hang your beautiful things? Try painting a hefty branch any color you want and hanging it from the ceiling.
Step One:
Find a good size branch that is solid and dry (moisture means it may break apart on you later). Cut it to size and sand it smooth (optional). Paint it any color you like, or leave it natural.
Step Two:
Anchor two ceiling hooks and make sure they're secure. You want them to be sturdy to hold up the weight from you clothes.
Step Three:
Different options available to tie the branch (leather, twine, rope, chains, etc). Select what suits your look and needs best. Measure to make sure the rack is level and even. Secure the ties and cut off extra. Hang it from the ceiling and VIOLA! You're done! Beautiful branch clothing rack is yours.
Tips:
- If you leave the branch its natural finish make sure you clean it first to prevent any bugs coming into your home!
- Use minimal, beautiful hangers (such as copper) to create a more "airy" and whimsical look.
